Where to Work

Many International Students are concerned about employment and having enough money for incidentals. Well, here are some ideas for on-campus employment at Illinois Institute of Technology. Yes, you can legally work in any of these positions.

Computing & Networking Services (CNS)

This is by far one of the best places to work on campus. It launched my IT career and could help you a lot too.

Residence Halls 

Working in the Residence Halls as an RA (Resident Advisor) has immeasurable leadership benefits. As an immediate benefit, it offers you Free Room & Board.

Teaching Assistant / Tutor

You can get a position as a tutor or a Teaching Assistant. Both jobs pay very well and also look very good on your resume.

Cafeteria
There are various positions available. A lot of hard work, but you get free food :-)

Library
The job is easy to do. Most of the time, you are able to do your homework while on the job. It’s almost like getting paid to do your homework.

IIT TechNews
Working in the NewsPaper looks good on your resume and it pays great.

International Office
You can work as an assistant for the International Advisors. A great way to make friends while earning money.
