While browsing the web for my “daily tech fix,” I came across BumpTop (www.bumptop.com) which seems to be a very interesting method of organizing and manipulating data beyond that of the two dimensional desktop seen in computers today.

Google just released a voice-based local search. To try it out, do the following:

I just tried it out and it seems to work pretty well. It is different (and has less features) than Tellme / 1-800-555-TELL (which can do just about anything — Driving directions, Airline Information, Movies etc.). But, the nice thing about it is that it provides local search which I think is still missing from Tellme.
