Taking a break definitely did the trick. When I started with the IDS questions this morning, I did significantly better.

The PCT chapter (26) was relatively short (45 Questions) and the Advanced 102(e) chapter (27) was even shorter (10 questions). So, after 36 days, I am finally done with the prep course. Phew…

Now, I have to do as many practice exams I can get my hands on.

The chapter (25) on Ethics was surprisingly easy in the beginning. This may have something to do with the fact that most of the principles/rules/laws mirror those of the Model Code of Professional Responsibility/Ethics. So, with a quick skim of the notes I took while going through the lecture video, I was able to get through the the first 60 or so questions.

Then they started asking questions about IDS filings. There are a few basic rules with IDS but the PTO seems to relish in long fact patterns with obscure details. So that slowed me down. When I got to Q80, I had gotten a few wrong in a row due to overlooking some obvious/blatant issues. So, I figured maybe it was just that I was tired (any excuse to take a break right?) and called it a day.

So, tomorrow morning (well.. later today I suppose) I will finish the last 15 Questions on IDS/Ethics. And then move on to PCT.

Almost there… I think I can… I think I can… I think I can :-)

Finished Chapter 24 (Interference Practice). Apart from a couple of things that got me, it went by fairly smoothly. Since this is essentially 102(g) related stuff, it was not difficult because I have seen enough of it by now.

The only downside to this material is that I have to do a timeline to be able to figure it out. That takes time and can become somewhat tedious.

It took a while to get through the 43 questions in this chapter but I am okay with that. At least I got done and did fairly well.

Will start on 25 tomorrow.
