Last night was beyond description.

As soon as I got the results, I shared the good news with my immediate family. Then, it was time to make some calls. I called my mentor and friend who guided me all through law school and even put in excellent recommendations to various law firms. I called my last manager who — for two summers — gave me the time off to add law firm experience to my resume, and kept my position open for me. I also called my prior manager who hired me right out of undergraduate school at a salary well above what I deserved, and then hired me at two other companies that he went on to. Then, I called my manager from fifteen years ago, who gave me my very first job in the US. And, I emailed my mentor who helped me write my very first office action, and utility patent. Then, I sat down to a wonderful home cooked meal with my wife. Later, we went to McDonalds in our PJs to get fries and yogurt parfaits. This morning, I thanked a very special professor who drove us all very hard in the last few months of bar prep and dedicated every possible resource to our success.

I wish I could say “I” passed the bar but I didn’t get here alone. I was helped by many who took time out of their busy lives to guide, mentor, and help me.

Thank you all!
