HDTV: Plasma, LCD, or LED? October 31, 2009

My four year old Plasma TV seems to be on its way out. Any recommendations on which technology (Plasma, LCD, or LED) is better? Is any particular brand better than others at this point or are they all comparable?

LED for the brightest, clearest, sharpest image quality! But you'll be paying a pretty penny. LCD is the affordable backup, the higher the refresh the better. Ignore plasma. The actual screens come from 2 or 3 manufacturers. The brands buy the screens from the same source, it is just the enclosure and the settings that makes the the tvs different.

We just got the Toshiba LED TV 55SV67OU and it is awesome. My hubby did a lot of research on it and it is the best. He purchased it online through amazon then going to the store and we saved over $700.
