Need Recommendations for Media Center PC/Mac February 4, 2009
Posted by atharkhan in : Personal, Tech , 3commentsI currently use an AppleTV with Boxee to watch my podcasts and TV shows (via Hulu). However, the AppleTV’s CPU is not powerful enough to process all types of video out there. In fact, because the CPU is so inadequate, Boxee does not support Netflix streaming on the AppleTV platform because it cannot handle Microsoft Silverlight. So, the question is this: If I were to replace the AppleTV with a MediaCenter PC, which one would you recommend? I am guessing the Mac Mini would be an obvious choice on the Mac platform. What about Windows? Is there a particular computer/model that you would suggest?
