Patent Bar Prep - Day 37 February 20, 2007

Posted by atharkhan in : Patent Bar Prep , trackback

Started with the April 2000 Exam. The exam seemed fairly easy to do (mostly because it is a lot easier to take a paper exam than one on a computer.) After doing the first 50 (Morning Session) questions, I checked my answers. When I got 46 of the 50 right, I was so ecstatic/euphoric that I almost had one of those “I.. have made FIRE” moments. But since I was inside a library, I decided to stay put.

You know what came next don’t you? Me and my “optimistic extrapolation” got out of hand. I quickly did the math and thought… hmm.. I am hitting a 92%, I can *so* pass this exam! Right…

As soon as I started the PM section, I got the first 3 wrong in a row. That’s probably the best thing that could have happened because it pointed out to me that I still need to refer to the MPEP and CFRs before making “educated guesses” on the exam.

So… I stopped at about Q30 of the PM session. and picked up again this morning. Woke up extra early to do this before work. Will be back later to tattle on myself.
