Patent Bar Prep - Day 26 January 27, 2007
Posted by atharkhan in : Patent Bar Prep , add a commentFinally picked up the Patent Bar Prep again and did some work. Chapter 10 had less than 20 questions. I finished that and then got up to Q65 (of 135) in Chapter 11. Most of the material in Chapter 11 seems to be about 101, 103 and 112. There are some questions about petitions to make special with a fee and without. And, quite a few about when and how to petition the director following a non-final/final rejection.
So… mostly procedural stuff with enough of the easy (conceptual) material to help you keep going.
It’s about 8:30 PM and my brain is completely fried. I will try and do a few more and call it a night.
Patent Bar Prep - Day 25 January 21, 2007
Posted by atharkhan in : Patent Bar Prep , add a commentFinally finished all 172 questions in Chapter 9. I did fairly well because the material was either directed to claim dependance (which was not difficult at all) or other matters which seem to be conducive to reasoned guessing. I had to consult the CFRs on a few and they were relatively easy to find; usually searching the CFR using a string-match method is very tedious and downright pointless.
Tomorrow, I will start with Chapter 10. Hopefully it will be a quick chapter because I think there are only 20 questions in it.
Windows Vista - Signature Edition January 20, 2007
Posted by atharkhan in : Tech , 2commentsApparently Microsoft is selling a limited number (20,000 I think) of Windows Vista with Bill Gates’s signature on them.
I really really want one! I know this sounds geeky but remember when Microsoft came out with IE 4.0 and they offered a “Commemorative Edition?” Of course you don’t. You’re probably a normal human being with a life — but I remember. I wanted that browser badly!! So my minimum-wage self shelled out $4.95 to get a copy and waited by the mailbox until it arrived. As soon as it showed up, I installed it on my 1st Generation Pentium Packard-Bell and went browsing at (gasp!) 56Kbps. Laugh all you want you hyenas! It was worth it! (As a side note, I am truly ashamed of having once owned a Packard-Bell. I am told that it’s a mistake every newbie makes and learns from.)
Anyway, back to Vista. I want the version with Gates’ signature on it. So don’t be surprised if I give in to the hype and get it.
