Windows Vista - Signature Edition January 20, 2007
Posted by atharkhan in : Tech , trackbackApparently Microsoft is selling a limited number (20,000 I think) of Windows Vista with Bill Gates’s signature on them.
I really really want one! I know this sounds geeky but remember when Microsoft came out with IE 4.0 and they offered a “Commemorative Edition?” Of course you don’t. You’re probably a normal human being with a life — but I remember. I wanted that browser badly!! So my minimum-wage self shelled out $4.95 to get a copy and waited by the mailbox until it arrived. As soon as it showed up, I installed it on my 1st Generation Pentium Packard-Bell and went browsing at (gasp!) 56Kbps. Laugh all you want you hyenas! It was worth it! (As a side note, I am truly ashamed of having once owned a Packard-Bell. I am told that it’s a mistake every newbie makes and learns from.)
Anyway, back to Vista. I want the version with Gates’ signature on it. So don’t be surprised if I give in to the hype and get it.
