Patent Bar Prep – Day 03 December 20, 2006

Today was a slow day. I finished the ~30 practice questions on “The United States Patent as a Legal Instrument.” These are questions related to Written Description, Enablement, Best Mode, Undue Experimentation, Definiteness etc. Tomorrow I will start on the 150+ questions on Claims.

Back to the Qs today; I think I barely got a little over half of the questions right. I was disappointed about that until a friend told me that this is about as good as one can expect in the beginning — that as one’s knowledge and understanding grows cumulatively, the exam performance gets better. I hope that’s true.

I finished the Application for Registration (along with the $240 application fee) and went to the Post Office to mail it. Unfortunately, the lines were so long that I couldn’t send it out. I will have to do that first thing in the morning.

So that’s it for now.

Goals for tomorrow include: 1) Continuing on Video Lectures for Chapter 4 of the prep course, and 2) Starting on questions for Chapter 3 (Claims).
