Patent Bar Prep – Day 01 December 17, 2006

As usual, after I turned in the paper, the events that followed were remarkably similar to what happens every time I get done with exams. First, I came home and crashed from exhaustion for about an hour. Then I woke up with an unhealthy appetite for TV. Since I have been trying to wean myself off TV, there wasn’t much on the DVR to watch. So I went to Blockbuster, and rented two DVDs for the first season of House and watched them at a stretch until about 3:30 AM. Who said my life was glamorous?
Saturday, I was able to temporarily suspend my post-exam anti-social behavior and attended a party — which was fun — but someone needs to explain the concept of “White Elephant” gifts better to me.
And.. today is Sunday. The official kick off day for the Patent Bar Prep. I don’t know if it can be done in 21 days but I am going to give it my best shot.
Lets see… I have the Kayton Exam Prep bundle which includes 8 binders of reading material, 4 binders of the MPEP, 2 binders worth of questions & answers, 3 DVDs with videos that run about 24 hours, and a DVD with 2000 practice questions on it. This is going to be a long… painful… journey.
I have been at it for 4 hours and have barely made a dent. As always, stress = blog postings, so I am sure you will get to hear about it. As a side note… I am trying to be healthier and work off the Exam-Fifteen (that’s what I affectionately call the 15lbs of weight that I gain every time during exams.) So leave a comment or two with words of encouragement.
Alright people… go have fun while I continue studying…
