Due to a drastic drop in White Blood Cell count, Mom had to be hopitalized. She sounds tired. Apparently, a drop in White Blood Cell count is normal but when it is too sudden or drastic, it can leave one’s body at risk for life threatening infections.

According to Cancerhelp.org.uk :

After each chemotherapy treatment, your white cell count will begin to fall. It will be at its lowest at the mid-point between treatments. For example, if you have treatment every 3 weeks, then your lowest counts will be at about 10 days after your chemotherapy injections. This is called the ‘nadir’ (pronounced na-deer). When your white cell count is at its lowest, you will probably feel very tired.
