A Perfect Weekend January 15, 2006
Posted by atharkhan in : Personal , trackbackThis weekend was just about the closest I could get to perfection. Let’s recap; on Friday, I got my car back after about 3 months of repairs. No, of course its not fixed. I have to go back again next week. Still, I am happy to have it back. My first stop right after picking up the car was Ken Crane’s. I had been itching to go hear some B&W Speakers for a while and wow! let me tell you, the sound is pure ecstasy. I was looking for a Sub to complement my YSP-1000 and had narrowed it down to two sub-$1000 subwoofers: A Velodyne and a B&W (Its still a close race but I am leaning towards the B&W. I have to go in with one of my own CDs to test them out.)After leaving Ken Crane’s, I had a fine gourmet meal at In-n-Out and watched Glory Road. Yes, its a Disney movie but it was pretty decent. Then on Saturday (after my Patent Prosecution class) I met a friend in LA who took me to the Getty Museum. Words cannot describe the feeling you get from being in that building. Everything about it is just amazing. I didn’t think much of most of the art in there. I know I was supposed to like the stuff in there but with art, its subjective you like what you like and you don’t like what you don’t, right? Saturday was fun. Then on Sunday morning, I went to my first Stand Up Comedy Class at the Irvine Improv. Then, I followed that up with watching Munich. So, all in all, a perfect weekend. And hopefully, the first of many.
